Ethiopia has several amazing geographical features and the Great Rift Valley is among the stunning ones. The Rift Valley which is more than 9000 Km long and stretching from Jordan to Mozambique was created by the rifting of the great continental masses of Africa and Arabia in the southern part of Ethiopian highlands where the Rift Valley splits into two, we find a giant tear of the earth’s surface linked with chain of Lakes. This region also boosts several National Parks and forests which are among the last natural ones left in the world.

Day 1: Arrival to Addis

Depart from home city and arrive in Addis Ababa. Upon arrival at Bole International Airport, you will be welcomed and assisted by a Jacaranda staff and driven to your hotel.

Day 2: Addis – Arbaminch

Day 3: Arbaminch-Jinka

Am: Boat trip on Lake Chamo to see the crocodile market and hippos

Pm: Drive to Jinka

Day 4: Jinka-Excursion to the Mursi-Drive to Turmi

AM: Visit the Mursi village, famous for expanding their lower lips using disks

PM: Drive to Turmi

Day 5: Turmi

Visit the Hamer tribe which are the most dignified and beautiful people in the Omo basin.

Day 6: Turmi Excursion to Omorate or Karo

AM: Excursion to Omorate to visit the Desanech People or visit the land of the Karo tribe known for their colorful body painting

PM: Depending on the day visit the colorful market of Dimeka where most of the tribes mingle to exchange products

Day 7: Turmi – Arba Minch

Drive to Arbaminch on the way visit of few tribes including Konso village

Day 8: Arba Minch – Langano
AM: Visit the Dorze Village

PM: Drive to Langano beach resort.

Day 9: Langano – Addis
AM: Visit the nearby park of lakes Abyata and Shalla.

PM: Drive to Addis

Day 10: City Tour of Addis Ababa/ Departure
Visit museums, churches, markets, artifact before departure

Following the southwest of the capital we find the lower Omo valley which is one of Africa’s last unspoiled wildness regions. Unlike any other place, the lower Omo Vallley has the largest diversity of ethnically different groups in Ethiopia and Africa hence still now the culture and people of this region are focus of study for their incredible diversity. The entire Omo region is inhabited by ethno-cultural groups pertaining to two important linguistic lines; Nilo-Saharan and Afro-Asiatic. The Nilo-Saharan linguistic line is comprised of Karo, Banna, Bashada, Hamer and Dizi. The main ethnic groups in the lower omo region includes, Dorze, Konso, Tsemai, Erbore, Hammar, benna, Geleb, Karo , bume,Mursi, Ari and Surma

Day 1 Arrival to Addis. O/n in a hotel of optional *

Day 2 Addis – Awassa
Visit the beautiful lake of Awassa populated by several bird species.
O/n at Wabishebelle hoel besides Lake Awassa

Day 3 Awassa - Arbaminch
Passing the beautiful scenery we spend he nigh at
Bekelle Molla Arbminch.

Day 4 Arba Minch – Jinka
Crossing the soft rolling hills with dark red soil and plentiful crops,
we spend the night at Jinka Resort.

Day 5 Jinka – Mago
We visit the Mursi village, famous for expanding their lower lips using
disks.
O/n in an organized campsite in the park.

Day 6 Mago – Murulle
Visit the land of the Karo tribe known for their colourful body painting.

Day 7 Murulle – Turmi
Encountering the Galeb people in the street; we visit the Hamar tribe which are the most dignified and beatutiful people in the Omo basin. O/n in a camp site.

Day 8 Turmi
Depending on the day visit the colorful market of Dimeka where most of the tribes mingle to exchange products.

Day 9 Turmi – Omorate
We make an excursion to Omorate to visit the Dassanech people.

Day 10: Turmi – Konso
Passing the panoramic vies of Karkete Mountains , we spend the night in a hotel at Konso

Day 11 Konso – Arba Minch

Travelling along the side of lake Chamo we arrive at Arba Minch. PM boat trip on Lake Chamo to see the crocodile market and hippos. O/n at Bekelle Molla hotel

Day 12 Arba Minch – Langano
Am visit the Nech Sar National Park. Pm drive to Langano beach resort.

Day 13 Langano – Addis

Visit the near by park of lakes Abyata and Shalla. O/n in a hotel of optional *
Special traditional dinner with traditional music.

Day 14: City Tour of Addis Ababa/ Departure
Visit museums, churches, markets, artefacts before departure
